David is an actor, writer and producer. He became the first lead regular disabled cast member of Eastenders and is currently writing a drama series for Unstoppable with Noel Clarke, and Mavericks with writer Paul Viragh for BBC Films. David was named as one of the 100 Most Influential Disabled People in the UK in the Shaw Trust Disability Power List for 2018 and is also a Wellcome Trust Engagement Fellow. David has published The Art of Disability, about disability representation in the media, and works as a consultant for improving diversity across the industry.

Justin began his career directing for BBC1’s Doctors and Ragdoll Productions. He went on to write and direct four internationally acclaimed feature films for backers including Film Four and Pathé. His fourth film The Marker, a thriller starring John Hannah and backed by Creative England, was released in cinemas in 2018 and can now be seen on Netflix. Justin is hard of hearing and since 2004 has been running production company and training provider 104 films which specialises in disability and film. Their co-productions include Notes on Blindness, which was nominated for three BAFTAs including Best British Film, and the documentary Unrest which was shortlisted for the Best Documentary Oscar.
