Jason is an award-winning director. His films have played at film festivals internationally and have been seen by over 14 million people online. His work includes My Sweet Prince (commissioned by BBC and BFI Network), We Once Were Tide (BFI Flare), Dirty Laundry (Best UK Pilot at Pilot Light TV Festival) and Alone, My Friend (Straight8 Cannes).  Above all, Jason believes in the transformative power of cinema and is passionate about narratives that focus on outsiders and LGBTQ+ characters in particular.

Yaw Basoah

producer

Yaw established Dark Pictures to produce compelling films that explore the dark side of human nature. He has produced a collection of shorts that have been screened at national and international festivals and his debut feature, Zero, commissioned through Microwave (Film London/BFI/BBC Films), is currently in post-production.  Yaw has a further slate of projects in development, working with both emerging and established writers, filmmakers, musicians and visual artists. Yaw was awarded a BFI Vision Award (2016-2018), was one of Screen International's Stars of Tomorrow (2016-17), was selected as one of Creative England's 50 for 2016 (CE50) and has participated in Berlinale Talents, the BFI NET.WORK@LFF, Guiding Lights, iFeatures and BFI NETWORK x BAFTA Crew.

Brett Webb

producer

Brett has worked in production for over 10 years working in music videos and commercials and recently moved into film. Brett produced the short films A Generation of Vipers, directed by Tom Beard, and Dominic, directed by Lucy Tcherniak and James Wilis, and he co-produced the short film Candy with Lee Magiday. In 2018 he produced the BFI-backed short film White Girl, written by Omar El-Khairy and directed by Nadia Latif. Brett is in development on a 5-episode TV drama and has a slate of short film and feature projects in development with mainly female and queer filmmakers.

Edward Cripps

writer

Edward was one of six emerging LGBTQ+ filmmakers selected for the 2019 BFI NETWORK @ FLARE Mentorship in association with BAFTA and was one of seventeen boundary-pushing filmmakers selected for BFI NETWORK@LFF 2018.  His YA thriller series Tough Love is in development with Leopard Pictures and he is adapting two novels for 198 Films, supported by Creative Europe. He co-wrote the London Calling short Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea and is developing a slate of original film and television projects. Edward is represented by United Agents.
