Hope completed her MFA in filmmaking at Columbia University, New York. Her award-winning thesis film premiered at Sundance shortly afterwards. Back in the UK, she made further acclaimed short works for Channel 4, Film London, the UK Film Council and the National Theatre of Scotland. Her debut feature The Levelling had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival. She was awarded the inaugural IWC Filmmaker Bursary Award in Association with the BFI and won the BAFTA Scotland Award for Best Screenplay. She has been a Screen International Star of Tomorrow, a BAFTA Breakthrough Brit and a New Face of Independent Film for Filmmaker Magazine.

Wendy Griffin

producer

Wendy has many years’ experience as a line producer of film and television, working on films including Andrea Arnold's Red Road, David Mackenzie's You Instead and Paddy Considine's Journeyman. She produced the low budget improvised feature film Wasted with Raindog and co-produced the indie rom-com Not Another Happy Ending with Synchronicity Films which closed Edinburgh International Film Festival 2012. She also produced the music documentary Big Gold Dream (winner of the audience award at EIFF 2015). More recently, Wendy co-produced Calibre which won the Michael Powell award and was released globally on Netflix. Wendy set up Selkie Productions in 2014 and is developing a slate of projects.
