Alfie Barker, Writer/Director
Alfie is a Leeds born/based writer and director who grew up making short films with his dog instead of going to uni. He's a previous BFI Future Film Award winner, Sundance Ignite Finalist and Berlinale Talents participant. His recent BFI-funded fiction short Half Way premiered and won Best British Short Film at Leeds International Film Festival 2023. His short Hanging On premiered at TIFF (Toronto), was long-listed for a BIFA, shortlisted for a Grierson Award and went onto win both Best British Short and the UK Audience Award at Encounters FF. Alfie is developing his debut feature, which was selected for the prestigious TIFF filmmaker lab and was chosen from hundreds of projects for Le Groupe Ouest’s, LIM: Less Is More, with Hollie Bryan producing.
Hollie Bryan, Producer
Hollie has just completed her first feature The Ceremony, due for release later this year. Before that she was Associate Producer on Ken Loach’s The Old Oak, with Rebecca O'Brien at Sixteen Films. Hollie was producer on the award-winning short documentary Hanging On, which premiered at Sheffield Doc Fest and TIFF in 2021 and was later longlisted for a BIFA and shortlisted for a Grierson award. She has two shorts on the festival circuit; Predators which premiered at BFI London Film Festival in 2023 and was nominated for a Critics Circle Award this year and Bury The Dogs which premiered internationally at Clermont Ferrand. Her company Cosmosquare Films is developing features with an international co-production focus, including Sunburn (EIFF Talent Lab Connects '22), Snowbird (GB Sasakawa award) with Jack King, and High Risk (Less is More '23 and TIFF Filmmaker Lab) with Alfie Barker.
