Jeremiah Towolawi, Writer/Director
Jeremiah is a British-Nigerian writer-director who is passionate about telling bold stories that tackle pertinent social issues. His short film Pepper Soup delved into a woman's struggle with her faith and marriage after a traumatic event. It premiered at the Women of The Lens Film Festival and was selected by the West African Film Festival, LAHFF, and the Black Film Festival of New Orleans. Additionally, it is used for counsellor training by PETALS, a baby loss charity. His previous short Missed, which was produced by FullyFocused UK, screened at S.O.U.L Fest. Jeremiah is currently collaborating with Orisun Productions on writing his debut stage play, This Is Not a Drill, which was shortlisted for an Edinburgh Untapped award by Underbelly, New Diorama Theatre, and Oberon Books. He is also in the process of developing it into a TV series with Endor Productions. Last year, he directed Innocent Means Not Guilty with Theatre Peckham, which explores the stories of four Black women in their final year of law school, garnering a four-star review from The Stage. Jeremiah is currently a writer on the BBC drama series Phoenix Rise and is part of We Are Parable’s Momentum mentorship scheme.
Emily Radakovic, Producer
Since graduating from the University of Leeds in 2020, Emily has embarked on a career within film production, securing credits across award-winning feature films, short films and HETV, swiftly rising the ranks of production whilst also providing freelance development assistance, having worked for companies including BBC, BFI, Film4, A24, and Netflix within production capacities and companies including Escape Films, Pencil Trick Productions, and Stink Films within development capacities. She is currently Producer’s Assistant to acclaimed producer Nicky Bentham of Neon Films, working on the entirety of Neon's slate across development, production, post, and distribution. She also works in a freelance capacity as Junior Development Executive at The Fold under celebrated producers Michelle Stein and Jennifer Monks. Last year she produced the award-winning short film Reflections, written and directed by Zak Harney, for the BFI, Intermission Film, and Pencil Trick Productions, which has so far screened at festivals including Bolton Film Festival and Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, alongside having been nominated at the British Short Film Awards. She is keen to pursue creative producing, having recently founded her own company, Kino Films, and currently has several short and feature films in various stages of development with a wide variety of writers and directors.
