Team

Jasmer Gill, Writer/Director

Jasmer took an unorthodox route into the film industry as the bulk of his youth was spent as a boxer. However with his prospects of professional welterweight glory dwindling, he decided to follow his passion for films and pursue screenwriting. His script White Tiger won the Page International Gold Prize and has since been optioned by a Hollywood production company. He currently has two films in pre-production to be shot in 2025, as well as a number of other feature scripts in development with the producers of films such as Blue Story, Priest, Cinderella (2021), Kidulthood and Ill Manors.

Bassel Ghandour, Producer

After graduating from the School of Cinematic Arts at The University of Southern California, Bassel wrote and produced the OSCAR nominated and BAFTA winning film Theeb. His directorial debut, The Alleys, premiered at the Piazza Grande of the Locarno Film Festival before going on to play at the BFI London and Rotterdam Film Festivals. Bassel is currently in post-production with Chasing Dreams, a six-part sports docu-series following Syrian footballers who turn professional in Brazil after being scouted from The Zaatari Refugee Camp. Bassel's next film, Hallfighter, is set in London's boxing scene.

Dalia Kebire, Producer

Dalia has worked on numerous HETV shows and feature films with her production credits including The Gentlemen (2024), Back to Black (2024) and The Creator (2023). She has curated social and educational experiences for inner-city Londoners with EMYUK, a youth-run organisation, as well as sitting on the board of Creative Mentor Network, contributing to DE&I practices within the UK creative industries. Motivated by the impact the SAG and WGA strikes in the US had on UK productions, this has pushed her to invest in homegrown talent and stories centred in the UK.
