Tomisin Adepeju, Writer/Director

Tomisin is a British-Nigerian filmmaker based in London, England. His multi-award-winning shorts have been selected at over 150 international film festivals, including multiple Oscar-qualifying festivals. His award-winning short The Right Choice had its world premiere at the 2018 Sundance Film Festival, and also screened as part of Sundance London. Tomisin is a 2018 Edinburgh Talent Lab alumnus, in 2019, he was one of the 12 filmmakers selected to take part in the annual NETWORK@LFF development programme at the BFI London Film Festival. His short Appreciation had its North American premiere at Oscar-qualifying Aspen Shortsfest. The film was also an official selection of BFI London Film Festival and was nominated for British/Irish Short Film of the Year by the London Critics Circle. He is currently working with Ken Loach's Sixteen Films on his debut feature, The Light of the Living. The project is in development with the BFI with Jack Thomas O'Brien producing. 

Paul Romero Mendez, Producer

A London based director/producer with over a decade’s worth of experience in narrative fiction, music videos and commercials, Paul is a member of both Directors UK and BAFTA Connect. Paul works regularly for companies like Sony Music UK where he has created over 30 music videos for a variety of well-known artists like Little Mix, George Ezra & Tom Grennan, as well as directing commercials for Lidl, Phillips and EA Games to name a few. His main passion lies in drama. In 2020, alongside long-time collaborator Arturo M. Antolin, he directed and produced the one-take short film Ruth, which was selected by Directors UK and ARRI as part of their 2020 TRINITY Challenge. The film was selected to multiple festivals including BIFA qualifying festivals Wigan and Leigh, Crystal Palace and North East International Film Festival, where it won Best UK Short Film. Paul has directed/produced various festival qualifying short films like, Hacia el Oeste (Oscar-qualifying Gijon International Film Festival), as well as producing short films for directors like Tomisin Adepeju (Journey Mercies, 2023) and Megan K. Fox (Calling Home, 2017) that have been accepted into multiple BAFTA qualifying festivals like Aesthetica and Underwire Film Festival. He is currently developing his debut feature film From This Day Forward as well as short films While it Lasts and Swan Song
