Raheela Suleman, Writer/Director

Raheela (b. 1996) is a London-based writer and director. Her films have screened at Tate Britain, ICA, BFI, Genesis Cinema, All Points East Festival 2018, P21 Gallery, CineAstra Film Festival, and LUX Moving Image. An alumna of Other Cinemas Film School 2023, Chisenhale Gallery, and Barbican Young Poets, she explores Islamic Existentialism, Mysticism and The Unseen in both her written and visual work. Her film, SABR (2023), premiered at the London Short Film Festival 2024 and screened at ICO Spring Screening Days at BFI Southbank alongside the variable (2023).

Amel Moyersoen, Producer

Amel is a filmmaker, programmer, researcher, and producer interested in diasporic histories of resistance based in London. She recently graduated from the Other Cinemas film school, and is currently working as a researcher and producer at Anekdote, staff member of LUX Moving Image London, and part of the SAFAR Futures Young Curators Programme 2024. She worked as a producer on two of Raheela Suleman's short films: NAD (2023) as well as SABR (2023) marking a significant milestone in their creative collaboration. She was Production Assistant on No Ball Games (2023) winner of the SUPER 8 competition and is currently part of the production - team of the documentary Not My City (2024) with Anekdote. Her own film afraid of losing the echos (2023) was selected for the System D Festival 2023 and MOOV Festival 2024 in Brussels and has been shown in various venues across London and Brussels.
